Can you have bone cancer for years and not know it? Some people with bone cancer have no symptoms other than feeling a painless lump. For others, a variety of symptoms can develop. These symptoms may also occur because of other conditions, such as arthritis or Lyme disease, which may delay the diagnosis.
What are the signs for bone cancer?
- persistent bone pain that gets worse over time and continues into the night.
- swelling and redness (inflammation) over a bone, which can make movement difficult if the affected bone is near a joint.
- a noticeable lump over a bone.
- a weak bone that breaks (fractures) more easily than normal.
