How Much Does Race for Life raise? These events, held across 2020 and April 2021, raised more than £4m for the charity. In a typical year, Race for Life raises about £30m. More than 59,000 people took part in virtual events last year, compared with more than 375,000 people who took part in the 2019 Race for Life.

What is the aim of Race for Life? Race for Life is a series of fundraising events, organised by charity Cancer Research UK. They involve running, jogging or walking a 5-kilometre, 10-kilometre or ‘Pretty Muddy’ course and raising sponsorship for doing so. The money raises funds for cancer research in all 200 types of cancer.
